At All Saints, we are committed to providing the ongoing development of our pupils’ health, fitness, well-being and experiencing of a wide range of sports and activities.
Currently, we have our own PE team with a fully qualified sports teacher who ensures a quality first approach to teaching P.E. They have won awards for outstanding contribution to school sport and have been nominated for a nation award for their impact with school PE/sport.
We believe in the importance of developing a love of sport and activity in order to develop a positive attitude to a healthy lifestyle.
P.E. is taught for 2 hrs every week across the school. We follow the national requirements that all pupils will learn PE, Dance, Gymnastics and outdoor and adventure each school year.
Swimming will also be available to Year 4 pupils in the Summer term.
As a school we have a close partnership with The Premier league stars’ foundation. This supports pupils physically, mentally, socially, diversity, self-esteem and cross curriculum.
We are members of the school games programme and participate in a range of competitive sports. We are currently a gold registered school, which is the max possible for a school our size.
We have a very successful Panathalon link that supports and provides opportunities for all pupils with SEND and less active. We have won the last 2 Panathalon tournaments and have represented our borough at the London games.
As a school we are very passionate about following our sporting values such as Passion, Honesty, Self-belief, Teamwork, Respect and Determination. These are all covered in our lesson, clubs and all other activities.
Each year we have a school sports day which is fully supported by the friends who we support with fundraising.
We take part in sports tournaments with Lewisham School Games and London School Games.
